3 Techniques for Creating a Winning Presentation with ChatGPT

Presentations are an excellent tool for conveying information and showcasing ideas, but they require a lot of work and we want to be more efficient! Thanks to AI – there are now new and exciting ways to streamline the creation of presentations with ChatGPT and create presentations more easily and quickly.

We have gathered 3 methods for creating presentations with ChatGPT so you can create an excellent presentation and also save time and energy. Whether you want to use ChatGPT directly or use tools like SlideSpeak that utilize GPT behind the scenes. AI and ChatGPT allow us to create professional, personalized presentations in a fraction of the usual time.

To avoid disappointments, it should be clarified that AI does not do things on its own, but it certainly shortens the way for us and is a wonderful companion for planning and creation 😊.

Here’s how it’s done:

The tools we are going to look at:

Option 1: Use ChatGPT Directly
Option 2: SlideSpeak
Option 3: Tome App

For the sake of example and comparison between the 3 options, let’s create a monthly Human Resources report presentation. We will guide you through the steps so you know what to expect from each option and choose your way!

Option 1: Use ChatGPT Directly

The first way to create a presentation is to use ChatGPT. Since ChatGPT cannot create presentations directly, we will need to combine several tools. We will create the content with ChatGPT, copy it to PowerPoint, and use Dall-E to create images for each slide of the presentation.

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Ask ChatGPT to Create the Content

Ask ChatGPT to generate the content for the presentation. For example, “Suggest a content table for the 5th slide of the monthly Human Resources report”. Check the content you receive and ask for clarifications or expansions as needed.

Step 2: Provide Context and Upload Documents

ChatGPT allows you to upload documents for it to learn from. Upload relevant documents for the presentation and let it summarize the information for you. Ask ChatGPT to provide key points for each slide. For example, “Create 3-5 key points for the performance slide based on the employee report.” Again, check the content you receive and ask for clarifications or expansions as needed.

Step 3: Images

Let ChatGPT create images for the presentation. With the appropriate prompt, ChatGPT along with Dall-E will do this for the presentation. Write the guideline, for example: “Create an image for the cover slide of the monthly Human Resources report presentation”.

Step 4: Copy Final Content to PowerPoint or Google Slides

Although at this stage you will need to do the manual work, still, with a few quick copy-paste actions, you will receive a strong presentation that took you a quarter of the time with ChatGPT.

Option 2: Use SlideSpeak

SlideSpeak is a tool based on ChatGPT designed for creating presentations. It allows you to upload documents and create a presentation based on the uploaded documents.

Here are the steps:

Step 1:
Upload relevant documents for the presentation you want to create such as PDF files, PPTs, or Word documents to SlideSpeak. It will learn from these documents.

Step 2:
Click on “Create Presentation”. SlideSpeak will extract key topics from the documents and present you with options.

Step 3:
Choose a topic from the suggestions SlideSpeak generated for you.

Step 4:
SlideSpeak will generate content for slides based on the key ideas.

Step 5:
Check the content you receive and ask for clarifications or expansions as needed.

Step 6:
The presentation is ready! Click on “Download PowerPoint”

Option 3: Use Tome

Similar to SlideSpeak, Tome helps create AI-based presentations. It comes with ready-made templates that will help you get started easily.

Here are the steps for creating the presentation:

Step 1: Tell tome about the topic for which you are creating a presentation.

Step 2: Tome will suggest a structure for the presentation. Check the content you receive and ask for clarifications or expansions as needed.

Step 3: Tome will generate a complete presentation according to the structure and topics you chose.

Step 4: Customize the presentation by adding data/information.

Step 5: Download the finished presentation.
