The competition to be the favorite chatbot between Google Bard and ChatGPT continues, and we are enjoying the additional capabilities each one presents.
There is no doubt that ChatGPT took the lead in timing and stormed the world, but Google, being Google, still has a few tricks up its sleeve and knows how to outmaneuver in the round. Here are 5 things that Google Bard allows you to do but are still missing in ChatGPT:
1. Internet Access
Internet access allows the chatbot to provide real-time responses such as hot trends, stock prices, and current weather updates.
2. Summarizing Web Pages
With the prompts generated by Google Bard, you can integrate a link to a web page and receive a summary of it and ask relevant questions about the page’s content. Since ChatGPT currently does not have internet access, you cannot get answers from it about web pages.
3. Using Images
Google Bard allows the integration of images in its prompts, while ChatGPT, at this stage, only works with text. In addition to the option of incorporating images in the prompts provided by Bard, you can also deepen the information about the images with prompts like: explain to me what is in the image, where was the image taken, provide a suitable ALT for the image, and so on.
4. Live Code Explanation
Since Google Bard has internet access, you can receive explanations and instructions for live code without the need to copy code snippets to the chat. You can add a link to GitHub to the prompt and request an explanation for the selected code and receive it in seconds.
5. Exporting Content
Google allows you to export the conversation content with a click to Gmail or Google Docs, helping you save a few important seconds. There’s nothing to say, it’s convenient.
