Elon Musk and xAI company, which he owns, have announced a competitor with a sense of humor to ChatGPT.
But sarcasm and wit are just part of what sets Grok apart. So what else is different about Grok? Here are the things revealed so far:
Grok is trained on X data (formerly Twitter), which is one of the largest text datasets in the world.
Grok chatbot will have real-time access to X tweets, allowing users access to data and news in real-time. Musk believes this will give Grok a huge advantage over other chatbots trained on older data.
Grok also has a sense of humor (after all, it’s Elon Musk), and unlike other chatbots, it will also answer slightly more “interesting” questions.
Features like creating images and voice are expected to be added in the future.
At this stage, only a limited number of people have access to Grok through the waiting list on the xAI website. After Grok’s training is completed, all X users will have access to Grok through X’s Premium Plus subscription.
With the release of Grok, the many AI chatbots of Meta, and the expected arrival of Google’s new Gemini model, it seems that the leader of OpenAI is facing a significant challenge in the coming months, and we can expect many more innovations and thrills in the near future :). In short, stay tuned.
