Google simply changed the way we search for images and it’s fun.
Can’t find the image you were looking for?
Use Google’s new AI Image Generation feature in search to create it yourself in seconds.
How to Start Creating Images with Google AI Image Generation
If you are one of the lucky few who already have access to Google’s artificial intelligence image creation at this stage and are already registered for Google’s SGE testing program, you are ready to start (if not, wait a little longer until the capability is opened to everyone). Here’s how it works:
1. In Google’s search window, describe the image you want
2. Wait a few seconds
3. Choose from four options for the image you requested
That simple. If you want to edit the images even more, choose one of them and add additional instructions to add more details.
You can see how it works in Google’s example “Pictorialist image of a capybara cooking breakfast in the forest”. Then, the example continues and shows further editing that changes specific details, such as replacing the bacon in the breakfast or changing the background to the sky. If you are already familiar with prompts – the instructions of ChatGPT, it’s the same idea.
