The new upgrade of Google Bard allows Bard to connect to Google services (which have many uses) and helps us be more productive with Google Flights, Hotels, Maps, YouTube, and Workspace (Gmail, Drive, and Docs) and more. Google notes that none of the personal data from Gmail, Docs, and Drive is used to train the model or seen by human surveyors. So let’s jump in and learn how to use Google Bard extensions in a few simple steps:
How to Activate Google Bard Extensions
1. Open Google Bard on your computer or smartphone.
2. You will see a pop-up displaying the Extensions. Click on “Next”.

3. Then click on “Show me more”.

4. Next, click on “Continue”.

5. Finally, click on “Connect” to link Bard with Google services.

6. You’re all set! All Google services, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, YouTube, Maps, etc., will be linked to Bard.

How to Use Google Bard Extensions
Now, after connecting your Google account to Bard and allowing it to fetch data from various related services, let’s look at some examples:
1. You can ask Bard to check if there is a delivery on its way to you. Just ask it, tell it which delivery to search for, and send it to search in your email, for example: “Check in Gmail if my red hat delivery from Amazon has been delivered”.
** You can type “@” in the input text box to select the Extension.

3. Let’s talk a bit about travel, everyone loves to fly. You can ask Google from Bard to find the cheapest flights from Tel Aviv to New York using Google Flights.
4. Great, we found a flight, now you can ask it to find us a hotel. And the Google Hotels extension will come into play.
5. Continuing the trip, you can ask Bard to create a route using Google Maps.
Excited to get started? Play around with it and find out how it’s most convenient for you to use.
