DragGAN AI Photo Editor is a new tool developed by the Max Planck Institute that allows users to edit photos through a simple interface based on artificial intelligence.
The DragGAN AI Photo Editor tool enables users to redesign photos by dragging and releasing points on them. DragGAN – short for “Drag-based Generative Adversarial Network”, can easily alter the image to fit your needs and desires in a matter of seconds.
How to Use DragGAN AI for Photo Editing?
DragGAN is currently available in demo mode but has already generated a lot of interest. The open version for use is expected to be released in June according to a post by one of its creators, Xingang Pan.
In the demo, you can see examples of using the tool and the ability to make changes to images. You can change the angle or direction of objects, the expression on the face of an animal or a person, or turn a small hill into a mountain. In the first click using the red marker, you select the starting point, and then mark with the blue point where you want the part marked in red to move.
Then, click on “Start” and the image will change live in the interface. Once you are satisfied with the changes, click on “Save Image” and the new image is ready.
The research team provides many examples on the DragGAN AI website.
And there’s nothing like a video to demonstrate the capabilities 😊
